On Saturday, April 28th, volunteers gathered at Olmsted Green to participate in Mayor Menino’s 5th Annual “Boston Shines,” a city wide neighborhood spring clean up event. Organized by Olmsted Green in partnership with the City of Boston, volunteers worked all morning and afternoon beautifying the sidewalks along Harvard Street in Mattapan.
The Lena New Boston development team was joined by neighborhood supporters and student volunteers at Olmsted Green and together, they made great progress.

Lena New Boston’s participation in this event was inspired by their commitment to health, the environment and the surrounding natural amenities. When complete, Olmsted Green will reflect this commitment as a sustainable community that promotes conservation of resources, low-impact development practices, and healthy homes and lifestyle.
